This is a fraud. They use all sorts of tricks to trick customers. They promised referral credit, but they took it back once you signed up. They sent me an orange-sized cabbage, which I paid $4.45. This is the worst experience I have ever had. It is unclear how long this startup will be in business, and how many investors/customers this scam can take advantage of.

Raleigh NC Do NOT. EVER. You can send the man who delivered my groceries back to me. This service saves me the hassle of driving to the grocery store. Someone who is trying to start a political fight over guns in my yard, and then keeps interrupting me during my points creates a different type of stress that I don`t appreciate. I have never asked someone to leave my property, and they never came back. But that driver did.

Farmstead has been a great place to order from. Farmstead has great produce, reasonable prices, and no hidden fees. But, I was disappointed to discover that the seafood was not local sourced. The salmon I ordered was from Chile.
I will continue to order my Farmstead produce. They are great for fresh fruits and vegetables, but not fish/seafood.

It is great to be informed when your delivery is coming, especially if you have frozen/cold items. The service is a great way to supplement in-store visits. There are two minor downsides to the service: 1. The inability to find items due supply chain issues. Depending on your needs, the selection may be limited. Farmstead is a great tool that I`ll continue to use for as long as possible.

My first order and delivery were a success. The ordering process was easy and I was able to make changes several hours later. My delivery was scheduled for the next day. The items were thoughtfully (and very carefully) packaged, everything arrived safe including the eggs, bananas/apples/avocados and glass milk bottles. It was great that I was kept informed via text about the packing of my order, its arrival at my home and where it was leaving.
One tip I have is to be aware of the product`s size. Peanut butter was my first experience with peanut butter. It is described as being 16.9oz in size. However, I didn`t realize how small it was until it arrived. That error is my fault. One thing I think could be improved is the fact that when substituting for a product, it should be kept within the same category. Ex: I ordered a package of pasta noodles with penne and was given four decedent cupcakes instead. They look delicious and can be enjoyed, but I needed the noodles. After my first Farmstead delivery, I am certain to use Farmstead again.

We gave Farmstead a try this week, as we love the convenience of home delivery and the chance to try new things.
The website`s front end is a little clunky. The FAQs were not clear and I was left without the information I needed (how does it all work, how do you tip drivers, etc.). Trustpilot had some negative reviews so I decided to cancel my order. I had to change to 0 for each quantity. I sent an email to customer service Friday night and received a reply in under 15 minutes. I was greeted by a friendly person (no name provided) who answered all my questions.
We ordered some groceries. They have a lot of unique options that I can`t get in other places. It is not a great option for grocery shopping.
The groceries arrived at the earliest possible time. I was kept informed by texts and emails. The driver was friendly. The contents were placed in cardboard boxes and very well packed. (One note: dry ice can be used to freeze goods. This was incorrect. One item (tater tots) had split open, but no huge deal. Produce looks exceptional. Everything I bought, including bananas, radishes and bananas, I actually weighed. In every case, I received more than I paid.
Pricing: Everything seemed to be very reasonable, comparable or better than local supermarkets (Harris Teeter and Amazon, Wegmans Food Lion, Fresh Market, Wegmans, Wegmans, Wegmans etc.).
Accuracy: We received everything we ordered. This time, nothing was replaced.

DoorDash is being misled by Farmstead about the tax rates they charge. This business is trying to charge a nearly 150% sales tax as of the writing. This is more than 20 times what the NC state sales tax is.
I reached out to the company to report this error on September 2, but received no reply.
I also filed a complaint with BBB. They contacted the business on my behalf. Again, no response.
Since all attempts to contact me have been met by silence, I believe this is an intentional, malicious act and that the company is actively defrauding customers using these tactics.

This website is a scam! They are a complete scam! I was charged an amount that is different from what I saw when I checked out. I have not been contacted by customer service. It was a stupid bug on their website. I reproduced it, and they should thank me for telling them. What a horrible startup! !

They offered $25 off my first four order, but didn`t honor it and stated “that campaign ended” when I asked. They didn`t reimburse me for the glass bottles that were returned. There was no way to close my account. Avoid them. This is very misleading.

Three of my last five orders resulted in rotten meat. Rotting. This company must improve the safety of its supply chains. Salmon and steak vacuum sealed with acceptable best-by dates. It will not rot when it arrives. Even the mascarpone cheese was moldy inside the seal. This happens only if the temperature is too high and it`s not refrigerated properly. They have not made any changes to my 3 complaints. They will not allow me to order any refrigerated items from them.
