The gentleman who took care of us in Oakland was Clinton. He helped us with the paperwork and guided us through the process. We were done in no time.
It all made me very happy.

My car sale was seamless thanks to Shift. It was delivered at the scheduled time. The first inspection was completed and an offer was made for the car that was very similar to the online offer. This was significantly higher than the offer from a competitor. I was paid promptly after the final inspection.

It was my first time selling a car through Shift. Venicia Rep called us before she came out to do all the paperwork. They didn`t pressure us to sell and gave us time (another chance), to think it through. However, we decided to sell the vehicle the same day as they offered the highest price because they were the highest-bidder. Should we ever need to sell another vehicle, Shift will be our choice. Thank you again, Venicia.

Estimates need to be more accurate. When I arrived, my offer was reduced by $1200. It was the same issue when I spoke to other sellers of cars. Seems like a consistent pattern. This is a poor business practice. Although my employee was extremely helpful, I noticed that they all apologized for my misspelled quotes. This is a poor business practice.

Although the delivery took a long time, the problem really started when the car arrived. After noticing some damage, we waited several weeks to receive clear answers. They are very poor in customer service. No support. It is impossible to communicate with Shift. You will spend hours on the phone waiting for no help.

I have never experienced such low pressure and relaxed selling of a car before in my entire life. Logan was very knowledgeable and personable. The whole process was easy and he explained each step clearly. He explained everything to me and gave me advice on what to do if there were any questions. He even offered to take me home in a Lyft. He is a solid guy with solid experience. I would recommend Shift to anyone looking to sell or buy a vehicle.

A 2019 mini Cooper countryman was purchased from Shift Carson, August 7, 2022. This vehicle is certified by So call. This vehicle is a So-called Certified Vehicle.
I shouldn`t be servicing my vehicle (CERTIFIED), two months after purchase. This will cost me nothing from Shift. Shift has poor customer service practices.
Conduct your own inspection
Their Certified 150 point inspection isn`t worth the hype.

Shift didn`t do a quality check, the front brakes were leaking, the front tires had pitted rotors, the back tires had worn to 2/32″, and cracks 1/4″ into each sidewall around the circumference. All this happened after 200 miles. I returned to them for no help, overinflated prices of cars, or problems not disclosed at the sale. This was the Oakland Ca branch, which is no longer shown.

I purchased a 2014 Dodge Challenger RT Plus less than 60 days ago. I need to replace the brakes, rotors, power steering pump, and a sensor. Although they claimed that they had done a 150-point inspection, it was evident that this was not the case. I also purchased the premium extended warranty through VERITAS. Don`t fall for this scam! They took 45 minutes to sell me the car, but after paying a certain amount of money an inspector must come out to verify that your diagnosis is correct. Note: The car was taken to Dodge to be diagnosed, not some shade-tree mechanic. Since the sensor failed, I have been using Uber and Door Dash every day for the past week. I am now out $350. This does not include the repair costs. My mother, my neighbor, and a colleague of mine are currently searching for a car. What shift doesn`t know is that Shift does not know this. I informed them, and I am advising everyone who reads this to not purchase a vehicle from Shift. I promise to ensure that no one has to go through what I went through. They scam people, sell lemons and won`t return calls like they did to me. Remember that I paid $25,000 cashiers cheque for this raggedy vehicle. It looks great from the outside but is rotten at the core. Be aware and stay away from these charlaTAN`S! !

RUN! RUN!
I purchased a 2015 BMW, and had it delivered by concierge from North San Diego to Los Angeles. The car was in good condition and the driver stated that it ran well. He signed everything, and I left. When I first drove the car, the front brakes jerked violently. It was my fault for not trusting. I called them, got good service, and they set up a local inspection. The inspection revealed a blown turbo, cracked steering arms and $8500 repair for a $15,000 car. Two weeks later, I am forced to rent a car because I cannot drive it more than 200 miles and can`t return it. I`m out of pocket for $300 for diagnosis and $400 for rental car and can`t get a reply about how to return it. Although they require you to call them, I waited for over an hour ….. You should definitely read the reviews as there are many other options to purchase a car. Although Shift was simple to purchase, there was no inspection and the process of getting a repair done is a whole other job.

I purchased a plug-in Prius. The charger shown in the photos was missing when I picked the car up. They promised to send another one. They have not sent the charger for 50 days. I have tried several times to contact them, but they have not responded. You will not receive what you see on the photos. To reach customer service, the average wait time is around 30 minutes.
